Our Eco Warriors Have Planted Some Trees

Trees help people and nature thrive. Getting more in the ground will give us all a greener, healthier future. Our Eco Warriors, Grandad Mick and our site supervisor Mr Brannigan have been working hard to add 30 saplings to the grounds of Gladstone. Year 1 children watched the process as their topic this term is trees. We will eagerly wait and see how they grow.

On 11th November, our school community came together to commemorate Remembrance Day and to reflect on the importance of remembering those who have served and sacrificed for others.

Across the week, pupils have been learning about the significance of the poppy and the values of respect, peace, and gratitude that underpin this important day. Children took part in activities and created displays that share their reflections and understanding of Remembrance.

At 11 a.m. today, we gathered together for our two minutes of silence, led beautifully by Mr Pearson, who played The Last Post. This was a powerful and moving moment, giving pupils the chance to show their respect and think deeply about the meaning of remembrance.
We’ve put together a short video showcasing some of the children’s work, our displays, and the moment of silence.

We create amazing homework projects to help us with our learning. Here are just a few
