Religious Education
Six units are studied each year – these can be seen in detail on the RE yearly overview.
They are each linked to a different faith or belief: Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Hinduism and Humanist.
There are 8 Christianity units that are studied following a spiral curriculum, so the units are revisited and expanded upon – starting in Reception working up to Year 6.
All work, throughout the school, is recorded in a variety of creative ways in the class Big Books:
The Nursery RE units are closely linked to the topics studied and planned for with practical and exciting activities. Each one is recorded with photographs and information on a class page in their Nursery Big Book:
Children are involved in a range of activities during their RE lessons, they take part in class discussions, develop and expand their knowledge and finally record their learning to create a page in the Big Book.
